Job Summary

Drive all aspects of Marketing for Aesop Korea in alignment with the long-term global strategic and creative visions while navigating hurdles and empowering local teams and stakeholders to achieve local business goals

Job Responsibilities

Strategy and Direction

Engage with stakeholders across the organization and available datasets to gather insights and knowledge to set the course of marketing for Korea while navigating ambiguity Maintain dashboards and information collecting pipelines to be constantly aware of the business’ KPIs from both hard and soft perspectives, to inform the Country Manager and stakeholders about trends observed from a marketing angle Utilize and/or create touchpoints that help cascade the marketing strategy and vision across the entire organization, down to the store level in the most efficient way possible

Execution and Brand Translation

Liaise with all stakeholders to understand what the Aesop experience is in-store, and ensure it is properly translated for the Korea market, so as to foster engagement and post-purchase repeat Encourage the implementation of creative in-store gestures and/or local events to keep surprising our customer base and foster brand love and repeat Empower our Visual Merchandising team to always come up with inventive ways to animate our stores while challenging them to ensure that the business needs - synced with our retail teams - are incorporated into their plans Ensure that our Visual Merchandisers schedule touch-up visits to all stores within the year and look at the product display from a fresh perspective, and work with the Store Managers and RBMs to ensure products are displayed in a way that supports business goals and helps tackle challenges Constantly think of ways to boost brand awareness while increasing brand love as well Work with the Brand Marketing team to come up with ways to creatively surprise the press and Content Creators so as to encourage media buzz and coverages

Campaign Management

Create and execute market initiated campaigns and collaboration to improve brand awareness in line with the marketing strategy and vision In close relation with the regional and global teams, have a clear point of view on the globally designed marketing calendar and logically voice out the perspective of Aesop Korea so that it gets reflected as much as possible into the calendar Have a clear and logical opinion on product assortments suggested for campaigns (existing products, supportive products, kit contents, etc.) and ensure that Korea’s voice is shared with the regional and global teams Be the main engine behind the ambition set for our products and categories - new or existing - to ensure that all the layers across the organization are excited and motivated to support the product/campaign goals and vision

Collaboration and Team Management

Foster team engagement and inclusivity by implementing an empowering management style Be aware of each member’s career and personal aspirations and liaise with Country Manager and HRBP in order to support each member’s growth inside Aesop and the L’Oréal group at large Ensure that the team scale and structure are proportional to Aesop Korea’s growth plan and strategy Become the key representative of the Marketing and build connections and bridges across functions, layers as well as between the office and our retail stores Empower the Marketing members to become key influencers within the organization

Qualifications

15 years marketing and people management experience (preferably in beauty, skincare, fashion or retail channel) Be a fan and a user of Aesop products A positive attitude, a strong will to learn new things and build processes and systems from scratch English proficiency, spoken and written Demonstrate ability to navigate ambiguity, and deliver results in an unstable, sometimes unpredictable environment Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and being comfortable with data focused tools such as Tableau and PowerBI Strong communication and people skills Ability to coordinate and collaborate with the different stakeholders, establish rapport with other teams within the company, facilitate information sharing Solid leadership and management skills
