Performs a variety of clerical work involved work in collecting fees, maintaining occupant status, the occupant register, and transient log book; taking reservation, controlling key register, filling and typing. 1. Determines proper amounts and receives fees from transient occupants, prepares receipts, obtains signatures on cash collection vouchers, secures funds, and maintains change fund, and collection vouchers of all fees; initiates and prepares individual transient application forms, records information pertinent to assignment and termination and names of occupants on transient visual board, maintains a bachelor and family transient log book, and advises potential transients on availability of bachelor and family transient quarters; maintains up-to-date register of occupants in transient quarters, reports status and availability of quarters and facilities at any given time; maintains key control register, records key issued and turned in, conducts key inventory twice daily, and transfers accountability of keys when he/she is leaving the area; maintains office record files and forms; accepts reservations either in person or by telephone. 2. Is required to professionally speak English in order to be able to take reservations, telephone calls and to give full information and explanations to customers who are 95% US personnel. 3. Billeting Office operates seven days a week, 16 hours a day (from 0600-2200 hrs). Billeting clerks are responsible as billeting managers after 1700 hours, weekends, and holidays. 4. Types daily activity report, government quarter and mess (DD Form 1351-5), temporary logging allowance, application for transient billets, Army NAF purchase request, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.
