Description :

The main area of responsibility is Marketing & Communications for the Food Safety business in Korea. This position has a direct impact on the direct work group/team, providing direction and advice to co- workers. Responsible for various marketing activities for a Brand, product and/or channel. Defines and coordinates execution of market/ customer analysis, and reports on findings to guide business decisions. Implements marketing tactics around product, channel, pricing, and promotions, and execute efforts identified on the marketing plan. Leads projects as well as initiatives to ensure the overall growth and branding strategy. Typically leads activities of moderate scope and complexity and develops solutions on product information operations, digital asset management, website or channel operations to aim sales productivity solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

Responsible for various marketing activities for a Brand, product and/or channel. Provides input to management that may impact how financial resources are generated or spent.  Leads or coaches colleagues during a project or trains new employees, as well as leading for change, within functional disciplines such as market research, channel/product marketing, digital, e-business/e-marketing, business/market development, branding, pricing, new product marketing, standard pricing and maintenance, deviated pricing, bids and quotes, business agreements, merchandising, price optimization and analytics, CRM processes including sales processes and sales operations analytics, customer insights, etc. Begins to determine priorities, assign responsibilities, or implement timetables for work group or teams to ensure success. May provide feedback on performance of team members. Initiates actions to lead projects, beginning to link project steps to business strategies. Projects are usually short term with specific results expected, and occasionally broadly defined results. Ensures project objectives and deadlines are met. Presents project plan, progress and result to regional/country marketing managers that support of business needs and goals. Handles non-routine and difficult inquiries. Adapts differing techniques and methods to develop solutions for a variety of complex issues. Applies analytical skills for analysis and interpretation of trends or data generated by company reporting systems, statistical results, or other information collection systems. Create, write, and edit persuasive marketing materials – including newsletters, web content, press releases and white papers. Work closely with the commercial team / Operation team / Finance team / business development to ensure all stakeholder views are represented and initiatives fully aligned. Actively contributes to the development of marketing plans for assigned market/product area, including collection, verification, analysis of data and recommendation on programs. Assists in the development and implementation of marketing research projects utilizing advanced quantitative and qualitative methods. Determines appropriate methodologies to obtain the required information along with associated costs, timing and other factors relevant to completion of the project. Identifies and recommends market segments and target customers based on the right mix of data and insights. Collaborate with commercial team on NPI processes as required to plan and execute successful product launch. Monitor and seek out new tools, media channels and partners that will help to promote our products and reach target markets. Uses data to accurately analyze market coverage and track channel performance. Coordinates the implementation and tracking of channel-specific programs or promotions.  Compile / review marketing reports and data to identify trends and actionable conclusions for ongoing improvement of ROI and key metrics.

Ability to research, gather and synthesize technical/scientific background information to produce well-rounded content in a style appropriate to the publication/communication channel and its audience. Good understanding of core and digital marketing principles.  Strong oral and written communication skills. The ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, easy to communicate stories and messages. A sound appreciation of content marketing and what makes it effective. Excellent organization and project management skills. Deadline-driven, well-organized, focused, self-disciplined and pragmatic, with the ability to prioritize workload and recognize when detail really matters. Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial mind-set. Can-do, enthusiastic, collaborative, and friendly attitude with a strong desire to improve own skills base and find improved ways of working for the benefit of the business. Close alignment & partnership with sales teams to deliver programs.

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum Qualification: A Bachelor's degree level of education A further post graduate qualification in Business, Sales or Marketing or relevant experience, would be an advantage 5+ years marketing experience Working experience for the diagnostic/ analytical/ microbiological products & service preferable B2B and B2C marketing experience preferable

Mathematical & Computer Skills:

Good mental arithmetic and a good level of numeracy

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Very proficient word, power point essential. Competent in excel.

General Requirements:

Must be highly motivated, driven with excellent organization skills and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative.
