Job Description

• Operate the instruments in a safe and timely manner

• The Analytical Technician is responsible for the day to day running of the analytical laboratory and for providing a comprehensive service to the management within quality system.

Responsibilities

• Handle raw materials and finished products, most of which are either flammable, air sensitive or pyrophoric.

• To carry out pre-treatment and analysis work of samples in specialized area of assignment related to analysis of chemical properties under the standard of procedure.

• To record results, to analyze it and to issue a report after completion of the work.

• To demonstrate sound problem solving skills and ability while carrying out experimental work under the supervision / direction of a QC Manager.

• Continuous improvement of procedures, experimental design and safety.

• Maintain the proper working condition of analytical instruments in the lab.

• To carry out gage RR for key analytical instruments ( ICP, NMR, Titrator).

• Support for ISO system maintenance.

• Stocktaking for laboratory and purchase the supplies.

• Dispose of waste produced in the lab according to GRACE policy and procedure and legal regulations

Required Qualifications

• B.S. (or equivalent) in Chemistry or closely related field

• Work experience is not a required condition.

• Working knowledge of basic analytical principals, calculations, and statistics

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellence using Microsoft Office ( Excel )

• Time management
