Make your mark in Finance

Our Finance team plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. It delivers significant finance support for the overall enterprise, optimizing operations, controllership, funding, and capital structure to honor our stakeholder commitments. The team’s work is invaluable to informing leadership decision making, complying with regulatory requirements, and maintaining financial discipline, transparency and controls, while providing timely and meaningful information.

Key Responsibilities:

Head of FP&A

Ensure a strong and robust Budget/Forecast process through planning, timely, quality and appropriate communication, thought & consideration of key elements and driverProvide Business with regular management and financial reporting, covering Actual, Forecast, Budget and long-term planning (3Y) information alongside insightful analytics to support decision makingSupport the Businesses with greater analytics around the Business, to promote discussions around strategy, performance, and any actions neededDevelop close links with the Finance/Expense Business Partners and the Business team to enable and facilitate business decision making with regular data for pro-active LOB management and for detailed Forecast projectionsEnsure continuous and effective support to country CEO, CFO and the Business team, and resolve issues where applicable through process deep-dive and alignment with Regional teamImprove the Expense transparencyEmpower the team through clear goals, roles & responsibilities while supporting development through coaching and feedback.Consistently strive for excellence in team bonding & establishing/monitoring talent development opportunities for each team members to be the employer of choiceDevelop and maintain strong personal and professional relationships with clients

US-GAAP Controller

Responsible for financial statement disclosure via overseeing the monthly close to ensure timely compliance, accurate financial reporting and compliance with USGAAPManaging all accounting divisions incl. GL, AR, and Shared ServicesDefining and updating accounting processes to ensure adherence to US-GAAP financial reporting standardsProactively participate in various projects relating to financial closing activities with regional and global counterpartsDealing with internal and external audit activities in ensuring a timely resolution over issues if anyCollaboration with various departments in Finance (Actuary/Investment/Capital/Reinsurance) to achieve Finance/Company goals

Key Capabilities:

Detailed understanding of a profit & loss statement/ balance sheets for insurance businessStrong analytical skills and proficient working knowledge of reporting systemsDetailed understanding of USGAAPSound experience in Finance and Accounting in an international business environment  Strong analytical skills and proficient working knowledge of Financial Information System (SAP)Process-oriented with a drive for continual improvement in operationResults oriented and highly accountableStrong leadership capabilitiesFluent in both Korean and English

Key Experience:

15+ years of experience incl. 5+ years of relevant work experience in the insurance industryExperience in managing teams/peopleBe part of a collaborative culture that is high performing, dynamic and fast-facedRelevant professional qualification (USCPA) preferred
