International Development Specialist Internship Opportunity
\This internship provides the opportunity to work with a global organization, UNDP Seoul Policy Centre, in a supportive and collaborative environment. As an intern, you will be involved in various activities related to governance and gender, including research, document preparation, event organization, and communications.
\The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen interest in international development. The internship is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and build professional networks.
\About the Role
\This internship is part of the Governance and Gender Programme at the UNDP Seoul Policy Centre. The programme aims to promote good governance and address gender-based violence and access to justice. As an intern, you will support the team in conducting research, preparing documents, organizing events, and communicating with stakeholders.
\Responsibilities

- Conduct preliminary research and support the production of various documents on key topics related to governance and gender;\
- Document, translate, and package Korea's policy tools and lessons learned with an international perspective;\
- Propose and design creative communications materials on the team's governance policy tools, programme results, and lessons learned;\
- Provide support in organizing partnership meetings and programme events, including logistical and travel arrangements and substantive preparations;\
- Translate and edit publications, papers, web content, and other materials from English to Korean and vice versa;\
- Support administrative and communications tasks as necessary in the day-to-day office operation;\
- Perform other ad-hoc activities as seen relevant and needed.\

Requirements and Qualifications
\To be eligible for this internship, candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:

- Currently in the final year of a Bachelor's degree;\
- Currently enrolled in a Master's degree or PhD degree;\
- Have graduated no longer than 1 year ago from a bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent studies.\
- \
Candidates should also possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools, hosting Zoom and other web-based meetings and seminars, and skills in Visual Communication and Graphic Design. Language skills include highly proficient spoken and written English, with proven experience in editing/copyediting/proofreading documents preferably on development policy, governance, or similar.
