Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Team Leader. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) activities while leading and developing a direct report within the finance team.
What you will do:
Accounting: Oversee all accounting operations including the maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax, treasury, and financial reporting.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports to senior management.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support for various projects and initiatives.
Lead and Develop: Supervise, mentor, and develop a finance team member, ensuring their growth and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required.
Minimum of 10 years working experience in Finance area, and 1+ years demonstrated ability leading teams.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and in ERP systems.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills that are adaptable to the appropriate level given the audience (presentation, verbal, written)
Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve desired results.
Collaborative and positive demeanor with desire to work in a demanding, fast paced, and dynamic work environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Korean.
