Details of the Division and Team:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for smooth running of Trade Finance at Korea branch.

Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. This position will also interact with the Local Management in Korea.

Your key responsibilities:

Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission

Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.

Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls.

Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.

Plans and implements strategies to effectively manage Trade Finance Operation Services.

Ensure all sections comply with internal regulations / procedures and applicable external regulations.

Works independently within own span of control

Co-ordination with other department in implementing operation systems.

Development and implementation of quality control procedures.

Develop and maintain good relation with internal and external parties, including clients and regulatory bodies.

Display ability to identify issues & delivers successful solution

Provides clear direction and vision to team and removes roadblocks within the team.

Can make sound and commercially focused decision, balancing risk & opportunity

Challenges and seeks alternative means to reduce cost & mitigate risk

Builds best practices organization and operation models to achieve goals

Your skills and experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking industry covering Trade Finance products including understanding of local regulations & product laws

Strong background and work experience in Operations

A self –motivated, energetic and able to work independently

Confident, and enjoy working in a performance driven culture

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.

A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace

Excels at operating in an fast pace, community environment
