KN and third country citizen family members of US military and civilian employees of agency of United States whose duty station is in Korea, and all other KN external applicants who are not currently employed by USFK.

Hauptaufgaben

Serves as Community Relations Specialist and Special Advisor to the Commander and Deputy Commander, and Command Sergeant Major, - with assigned responsibility for planning, developing, advising, coordinating and implementing a variety of USAG Yongsan-Casey Areas I & II community relations programs. Recommends implementation of programs and activities of the Yongsan-Casey Korean-American Friendship Council (KAFC), and advises, assists, and oversees the functions of 24 installations/sites across Areas I & II, to include Yongsan, Camp Casey and K16 in carrying out their on-going community relations activities, to include outreach, community coordination and stakeholder engagements and KAFC meetings. Serves as the lead CRO representative for coordination with USFK/8th Army community relations, to include monthly reports and meetings. Furnishes policy guidance, identifies influential community leaders in the areas and solicits them for participation, and evaluates program effectiveness. Serves as the Commander's senior CRO representative in dealing with local government officials and the managers of the local clubs and stores throughout Areas I & II, to discuss issues of mutual interest and concern. Coordinates between the Director of Health on disease control, and the PMO and Yongsan/Seongnam/Dongducheon Police on security and protection issues. Coordinates with high ranking key local officials to carefully assess problems, determine alternative courses of action, advising the Commander on Korean customs and recommending solutions. Conducts a review and analysis of local Korean-American Friendship Council (KAFC) activities based on a comprehensive working knowledge of the KAFC program and its governing policies and directives. Based on the analysis, initiates corrective action as may be required, recommends solutions to problem areas, and suggests method of improving KAFC operations. Performs oral translations from English into Korean and vice versa of speeches and discussions at meetings and conferences, ceremonies, and social functions. Makes written translations of letters, certificates, and correspondence dealing with the community relations program. Serves as an advisor to the PAO Director and Commander during emergencies that require coordination with local officials and media. Recommends campaigns and initiatives to promote Yongsan-Casey community activities through local broadcast and print media. Performs other duties as assigned.
