JOB TITLE: Engineer_Application

DIVISION: GAP (Gas and Process)

REPORT TO: Manager_Sales

LOCATION: Busan, South Korea

[MISSION]
Your mission will be to further grow the business in accordance with the divisional targets with focus on customer satisfaction for better market share and higher profitability.

Support the Sales of new equipment by building up strong technical and commercial competence to support and provide solutions to maximize customer productivity.Continuously develop competitive advantages in our know-how and processes.Develop plans with sales to provide long term solutions to customers.Support building strong brand for Atlas Copco and GAP products in the market.Ensure orders are taken in accordance with the defined commercial terms of the GAP Division and provide risk assessments for selected projects to divisional management.Provide technical support for both colleagues and customers.Understand and apply divisional standard policies and procedures within proposals.Assist management with local sub-suppliers to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.Work additional hours if necessary, including domestic and international traveling.

[KEY RESPONSIBILITY]

The main tasks, not limited, to are:

Responsibility for proposals for all Gas & Process ProductsAero sizing of compressors and expandersReview of customer inquiries and specificationsReview and evaluate customers commercial terms and conditions.Cost calculation following the Gas & Process guidelines.Establishment of complete technical and commercial proposalsSupport the GAP Sales Manager / Korea in Bid Clarification Meetings with customers.Initiate order bookings and continue as the liaison between the customer and Product Company during order execution and remain at their disposal for further clarification.Interact with GAP Sales Manager Korea in a Team ApproachEstablish good relation and interact with all GAP Product CompaniesInteraction with Divisional Marketing and Market Segment ManagersUnderstand our competition as well as competing technologies’ strength and weaknesses compared to our products and support the sales team to sell our value.Support GAP Sales when visiting customers to introduce new products or new applications and prepare references and presentation material to support the selling process.Able to support the product companies’ qualification process with customers and potential process licensors.

[REQUIREMENTS: Experience/Education]

University Degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience.Proven successful experience in Application Engineering, preferably Turbocompressor and / or expanders.Good technical and product-related backgroundStrong business and commercial mindset.

[REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge/Skill]

Knowledge of Turbomachinery, GAP products such as Compressors, ExpandersFamiliar with different applications of GAP products in different segmentsComputer skills and familiar with CT software utilized.Professionalism in English is a must.Result oriented, proactive & self-motivated.Strong team player and good, open communication skillsProfessionally dealing with setbacks and criticism for continuous improvementCommitted to customer satisfaction.Analytical working style and ability to think strategically.Built trustful environment.Make and communicate clear decisions.Manage processes in an efficient way.Show good business understanding and business thinking.Attitude of “there is always a better way” to improve processes and results.These skills should be combined with keen interest and learning about local culture.
