HauptaufgabenPerforms lifeguard duties, responsible of safeguarding the lives of persons using the swimming pool. Rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required. Ensures that safety rules are followed. May be called upon to conduct swimming instruction. Observes activities in and around the pool to insure compliance with safety and sanitation rules; provides information to swimmers regarding safety regulations; enforces all pool regulation with tact. Rescues swimmers and administers immediate assistance to any person in trouble in the water and renders first aid to injured persons. Checks identification of swimmers to ensure eligibility prior to admission into pool area. Insures that children under twelve years of age have a swimmer's pass or are accompanied by an adult age 18 or older. Reports infraction of rules, regulations, and procedures to supervisory personnel. Maintains pool and surrounding areas, ensuring that they are clean and free of hazards. Maintains "Lost and Found" articles and releases identified articles to owner. Answers telephone and provide general information such as pool hours of operation, personnel eligible to use pool, etc. Cleans and maintains clothing storage facilities and restrooms by picking up trash, sweeping out, and hosing down. Replenishes supplies in restrooms. Wears appropriate lifeguard uniform to include whistle and fanny pack with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Performs task required in the daily operations and maintenance of swimming pool to include daily cleaning and maintenance of pool area, equipment, and related areas. Provide chemical level checks of the pool water, including water and air temperatures. Maintain daily logs for required opening/closing and daily procedures. Periodic checks of the pump room. Contact manager or supervisor Directorate of Public Works to notify of irregularities. If assigned, contact Directorate of Public Works to provide service when needed. The operation of the pumps rooms is the responsibility of the Directorate of Public Works. Performs other duties as required.
QualifikationsanforderungenApplicants must possess a valid Korea Coast Guard recognized lifeguard certification covering lifesaving and water rescue methods, skills, and procedures; basic first aid; and cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
