We drive profitable growth and sustainable productivity across our customer industries. Our product offering ranges from industrial control, on-off and safety valves to valve controllers, actuators and limit switches, as well as their spare parts and related services. Annually, Flow Control Business Line delivers around 400 000 valves, 80 000 actuators and positioners similarly.
We are now looking for a Senior Purchasing Engineer to join our team at Valmet’s Flow Control Business Line – Operations in Chungju, Korea.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Purchase Order Handling (Procurement): Plan and execute the timely purchase of relevant goods and materials by liaising with the production planning team and suppliers to understand production plans and inventory levels. Create and manage purchase orders for both domestic and overseas suppliers, overseeing the related processes Supplier Management & Development: Manage and develop suppliers by conducting regular evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives. This includes both local and overseas suppliers Contract Management: Negotiate contracts and manage purchasing prices with direct suppliers Monthly & Yearly Closing: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes Material Master and Data Management: Create and manage material master data in the ERP system (M3), and review and analyze this data regularly Collaboration with Production and Material Teams: Ensure stable procurement by maintaining close communication with related teams Weekly Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly reports to the line manager, addressing issues and solving problems in the purchasing area Investment Proposals: Propose investments for molds and patterns for casting, and lead the sample evaluation process for new items Pattern (Mold) Management: Oversee the management of patterns and moldsRequirements:
