Job Description And Responsibilities

Team Summary:

The Cross-Border team has the mandate to develop Visa’s strategy to drive accelerated growth in our Cross-Border business and deliver against priorities that drive efficiency and effectiveness of Visa’s sales teams. The team identifies growth areas for the business and drives focused execution of key priorities across a very diverse set of objectives. The XB team approaches the business with a start-up mentality in terms of thinking and working differently and how we improve the way we interact with clients and stakeholders across the business. 

What an Associate does at Visa:

The role in the Cross Border Strategy team reports into the Head of Cross-Border Korea and Mongolia. Based ideally at Visa in Korea, the role will also work very closely with Asia Pacific Cross-Border team and Cross-Border leads from other markets. The role has a strong focus on supporting the development and execution of market and region-wideCross-Border data-driven initiatives. This includes but is not limited to, aiding the development of the XB strategy with a data-centric approach, monitoring and measuring the effectiveness and reach of key work streams, analyze trends to identify potential opportunities, collaborate with the AP Cross-Border Data team to derive insights, and provide data support to the sales team. Core deliverables are as follows:

Support the development and execution of Cross-Border strategy Strong focus on monitoring and measuring the effectiveness and reach of key work streams based on strategy and project manage the delivery of key initiatives. Provide strong data support on the Sales team for better engagements with clients. Analysing Travel/eCom trends utilizing VisaNet and external data sources to identify potential opportunities to explore and/or support decision making. Partnering with AP cross-border Data team to derive data insights, identify business opportunities, and implement the data solutions to solve business problems. Collaborating with other internal analytics team members to build a strong data science community. Acting as data science advocate within our partners, advising and coaching Client Engagement team members and sharing best practices and case studies. Exploring leading methodologies and sharing best practices to other teams or importing successful methodologies from other regions.

Why this is important to Visa:

The proposed Associate, Cross-Border Strategy and Data Analytic role is essential for Visa's growth and strategy. This role will strengthen Visa's cross-border payment operations, a significant revenue source. The Associate will ensure consistent program management and execution within the cross-border business, using data analysis to identify opportunities. They will work with the local/AP data team to create data-driven solutions and provide data support to the sales team, aiding in client engagement and business growth. The Associate will also collaborate with regional and market leads, and ensure focused program management of key priorities.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What you will need:

The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship, project management and governance experience in addition to, but not ideally, a knowledge of the payments industry. The role is best suited for a candidate who has a strategic mindset, has strong project management skills, and can seamlessly collaborate across sales and functional teams at all levels including senior management.

Key attributes to be successful in this role are:

• At least over 2 years of progressively responsible business experience in project management, sales operations, strategy, business planning or client-facing roles
• Proven customer service orientation, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
• Ability to define strategic needs of the business and provide appropriate management reporting to senior leadership team. Proven track record of analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in leading, directing and facilitating complex projects that drive change management in the organization and promote sales efficiency and effectiveness
• Experience in successfully utilising project and portfolio management tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities demonstrating success in conveying messages across a diverse set of stakeholders including Clients and Senior leadership
• Ability to work autonomously and in teams, and adapt in a dynamic environment whilst simultaneously delivering the plan
• Experience across multiple countries and cultures, ideally within a complex, matrix management organization
• Experience in the banking/financial services sector preferably with strong knowledge of card payments industry, its products, services, and technologies
