Job Description
Role Summary :
Provides engineering technical quality review of engineering designs, including FS, DS, Architecture, hardware drawings, FAT documents. Participates in Corrective and Preventive Actions activities.
Key Responsibilities :
Review and audit technical quality content for software and hardware design documents (FS, DS, drawings, Logic diagram, Test procedures, operations manuals, installation instructions, etc).
Review results of internal testing (FAT) records and works with engineering teams to close issues and defects.
Maintain register for number and types of defects from internal testing/FAT.
Maintain and improve AP standard design and test documentation templates.
Conduct periodic updates and training for AP teams for use of templates, design best practices.
Work with leadership and CI/Quality team to define KPI /metrics for engineering quality content reviews.
Periodic updates of quality metrics to leadership and subregional teams.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop and implement quality control plans and procedures specific to electrical works.
Review electrical design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Document and report non-conformities, deviations, and deficiencies in electrical installations and equipment and recommend corrective actions.
Skills and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or automation discipline.
Experience with Rockwell Automation products and software tools (Logix, FTView, FactoryTalk platforms) or equivalent industrial automation products and platforms.
Total 8 years or more experience with PCS and/or DCS in discrete, process and hybrid industries.
Experience with PlantPAx is preferred.
Experience with Power & Control (coordinated drives systems).
Familiar with electrical or control system drawings (ACAD or EPLAN).
Technical writing capabilities.
Local or native language skills in subregion country of focus.
Written and verbal English skills.
Problem solving skills.
Information Processing Capability :
Complete tasks independently with a high level of accuracy and on-time. Multi-tasking may be required.
Is open to change and is a relentless and versatile learner.
Ability to process project and technical information and where possible, foresee/address potential issues as early as possible to minimize impact.
