Key Responsibilities and Skills
As a Child and Youth Behavioral Military and Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC), you will be responsible for providing non-medical support to eligible individuals, including counseling, consultation, and outreach. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing presentations to address social skills development and social-emotional learning.
- Modeling behavior management techniques for staff and parents.
- Building rapport with parents and families by attending installation and community events.
- Helping children with transition adjustments, such as a new school and a new home.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
- One year of experience with licensure to practice at the independent practice level (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist) in any US State.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active passport that is good for 6 months after the end of the assignment.
- Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI).
