JOB TITLE: Engineer_Aftermarket Support

DIVISION: GAP (Gas and Process)

REPORTING TO: Manager_Aftermarket

LOCATION: Busan

[MISSION]

The primary focus is to provide technically assist and coordinate all required resources to effectively achieve the overall startup and field service of compressors/ machines. You will also develop and maintain technical document, instruction, procedures for service jobs and support creation of spare part PM list and any documentation for KRN aftermarket business.

You will report to the Aftermarket manager, the position is in Busan/Korea.

[KEY RESPONSIBILITY]

As an aftermarket support engineer, you will be the first level to support for commissioning / field service engineers during the commissioning and gas trial stage and – with your expertise – support continuous technical advice for any issues. You will closely collaborate with I&C engineer in engineering team.

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following technical tasks and activities:

You will develop and maintain technical support document and training materials such as service instruction, procedures, tech’ service bulletin, service job tools list and commissioning guidebook.

You will provide technical support of I&C and IAS systems for LD /HD operation to FSE and customer.

Advice technical resolution of electrical, control and automation issues during commissioning and gas trial stages.

Generate corrective action reports and attend Technical Committee Meetings as required.

Assure documented feedback to improve our products and processes as well as commercial success, frequently participate in design review meetings.

Participate production, quality, engineering design review meetings and follow up actions & upgrades.

Provide after-hours phone support to field service personnel and customers as needed.

Comply with Safety Rules, Regulations and OSHA Requirements.

Coordinate with other departments and vendors to support field resources as required.

Support Aftermarket product development and creation of spare part PM list. 

Perform other duties as required.

[EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE]

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or automation/electrical engineering or comparable.

Technical knowledge about turbo and/or screw compressor packages (rotating machinery) and related auxiliary equipment like heat exchanger, drives, controls, …

Must have strong background and knowledge of IAS system (Kongsberg, S&SYS, Kawasaki)

Dedicated knowledge about control systems and programming of PLC’s

Previous field service experience in marine environment, especially in LNG, is a strong surplus.

Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken, Korean language is your mother tongue.

Confident handling of MS O, ERP system (SAP is a surplus) and our PLM system.

High communicative skills in dealing with customers, internal interfaces, and suppliers.

Self-driven with high resilience & ability to prioritize and high degree of initiative.
