Serves as Automotive Mechanic in support of 41st Signal Battalion VMF (Vehicle Maintenance Facility) with responsibility to perform the full range of maintenance service for Non-Tactical Vehicles (Passenger Van, Trucks and Sport Utility Vehicles), Tactical Vehicles (HMWVV, LMTV, Forklift) and Military Trailers (Water Tank, Signal Generator and etc.) with both automatic and non-automatic transmission and repair work in order to support maintaining unit maintenance readiness for 41st Signal Battalion. Determines exact nature and extent of repairs required and performs major and minor overhaul and repair on engines, power transmissions, suspension, steering and braking systems and related electrical, fuel, hydraulic, wheel and engine assemblies. Makes operational checks and adjustments as required. Uses specialized testing equipment such as compression testers, motor analyzers and test benches. Directs work of junior and helper mechanics as required. Provides updates to the command on maintenance status and makes recommendations on equipment replacements.
주업무: 41 신호대대 VMF(차량 유지보수 시설)를 지원하는 자동차 정비사로서 비전술 차량(승용 밴, 트럭 및 스포츠 유틸리티 차량), 전술 차량(HMWVV, LMTV, 지게차), 밀리터리 트레일러(물탱크, 신호 발생기 등)에 대한 전체 범위의 유지보수 서비스를 수행하여 41 신호대대의 유지보수 준비를 지원합니다. 필요한 정확한 수리의 성격과 범위를 결정하고 엔진, 동력 변속기, 서스펜션, 스티어링 및 제동 시스템과 관련 전기, 연료, 유압, 휠 및 엔진 어셈블리에 대해 크고 작은 점검 및 수리를 수행합니다. 필요에 따라 작동 점검 및 조정을 수행합니다. 압축 테스터, 모터 분석기 및 테스트 벤치와 같은 특수 테스트 장비를 사용합니다. 필요에 따라 주니어 및 도우미 정비사의 작업을 지시합니다. 필요에 따라 정비 상태에 대한 명령에 업데이트를 제공하고 장비 교체에 대한 권장 사항을 제시합니다.
Working Conditions: Works inside in a well-lighted and heated area; however, continually works on concrete floors and work is dirty, greasy and noisy. Subject to cuts, bruises, shocks, burns and mashed fingers. Work requires moderate to arduous physical effort.
작업조건: 조명과 난방이 잘된 옥내에서 작업하나, 계속 콘크리트 바닥에서 일하며, 작업장은 더럽고, 기름이 묻어있고 시끄럽습니다. 절상, 타박상, 감전, 화상 및 손가락의 부상을 입기 쉽습니다. 작업은 육체적으로 힘이 듭니다.
