ASML is seeking the Senior Ethics & Compliance Specialist to be part of its worldwide Legal team, based in Korea, who will support implementation of the global Ethics & Compliance program within the Asia Region, including establishing, embedding and enforcing elements of the program, with a goal to enhance the compliance mindset and maturity of the regional organization, and ensure that ASML continues to operate with the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct. This position will report into the regional lead Ethics & Compliance officer and work closely with stakeholders to establish and perpetuate a “tone at the top” at the country and regional level that reflects ASML’s commitment to compliance and embed a culture of high performance with integrity at all levels in the organization.

Responsibilities
 

Under the overall leadership of the Regional Ethics & Compliance Officer, and in close coordination with the Regional Head of Legal & Compliance and Global Chief Ethics Officer, enable and drive compliant and ethical business conduct through the effective implementation of the Ethics & Compliance program at the region / country level. 

Working closely with global and local stakeholders, the successful candidate will:

Regionally implement Global Legal Compliance & Ethics programs, including Code of Conduct, Anti-bribery & Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, and Speak Up, driving the establishment and maintenance of local procedures for the relevant policies at the regional and country level, and developing, implementing and coordinating a regional training strategy on these topics; Stay abreast of the evolving regional regulatory landscape and guidance along with industry leading practices in all relevant areas relevant to the ASML business and operations; Act as the bridge between the Global Compliance & Ethics Office and regional organization on Ethics & Compliance programs and topics, continually providing advice and guidance to the region / country organization on relevant topics, challenges and major initiatives; Implement and execute various Ethics sessions, events and campaigns to increase Ethics and Compliance Awareness Together with the Global Ethics Office and/or the Global or Local Legal team, investigate Ethics incidents and claims, including harassment, bullying, fraud, or other violations of the ASML Code of Conduct; Review and analyze third party due diligence, and implement controls and monitoring for ethical conduct by third parties acting for or on behalf of ASML or other business partners; Working closely with related functions, build and execute continued controls, monitoring and reporting for various policies and regulations in the defined compliance areas, including anti-bribery & corruption/anti-fraud, gifts & entertainment, and antitrust;

Qualifications

At least 10+ years of experience, whether in a legal setting or as an audit or compliance professional; Strong personal character and commitment to integrity; Knowledge of and passion for ethical conduct and compliance; Good business sense; Ability to influence others and lead; Proactive, hands-on approach; Fluent in Korean and English; Japanese language a plus.
