As a Sales Specialist for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Seoul, South Korea, you will be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services in accordance with the go-to-market strategy for the Consumer and General Industry segments. Identify and develop target customers (end-user and indirect) and sales opportunities. Build long-term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues.

Your responsibilities
  • Selling products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for assigned Business Lines or Business Units. Understand and apply pricing strategy
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution
  • Preparing sales plans using company tools (Annual and Quarterly). Performs regular status reviews and proposing recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls
  • Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value propositions to customers: actively promotes new products and solutions, gathers market intelligence, and monitor market perceptions on ABB Robotics
  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensuring know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed
  • Preparing offers in compliance with Internal Control. Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions
Your background
  • Over 5 years of sales experience including over 2 years of sales experience related to factory automation
  • Knowledge of the industrial robot and collaborative robot markets is preferred
  • Commercial knowledge, negotiation and communication skills, and MS Office skill
  • Able to work independently and reliably under high pressure, possessing a high level of integrity, motivation, interpersonal skills, and team spirit
  • A proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with written and spoken communication skills in Korean as well as English
