As a key player in this effort, we are seeking an experienced Strategic Partnership Director to lead our efforts in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with governments, private sector entities, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders.

About the Role

The Strategic Partnership Director will be responsible for designing and implementing partnership strategies that align with UN Women's global and regional priorities. This includes building and maintaining relationships with key partners, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and negotiating agreements that support UN Women's goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of developing and maintaining strategic partnerships, as well as experience working in international development, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. They will also possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement partnership strategies that align with UN Women's global and regional priorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including governments, private sector entities, and civil society organizations.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and negotiate agreements that support UN Women's goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to country offices and program teams on partnership development and management.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in international development, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in partnership development and management, preferably in international development.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with governments, private sector entities, and civil society organizations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
