UN Women is the United Nations entity dedicated to promoting gender equality and women's empowerment. We support UN Member States in achieving gender equality and women's empowerment, working with governments and civil society to design laws, policies, programmes, and services needed to implement these standards.
We work globally to make the vision of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) a reality for women and girls and stand behind women's equal participation in all aspects of life. Our focus areas include women's economic empowerment, care economy, ending violence against women, and peacebuilding.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Global Gender Equality Strategist to lead our Knowledge and Partnerships Centre in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing our partnership strategy, leading on partnerships development and resource mobilization, and providing strategic guidance and advice to programme and result reporting sections and Regional/Country Offices.
The role requires excellent negotiation skills, proven ability to mobilize support from international and national partners, strong oral and written communication skills, and experience working with private sector entities. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in gender/women's studies or a related field and at least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic partnership development, resource mobilization, and communications/advocacy.
