
Fashion Buying and Merchandising Expert

The role of Merchandising Specialist is a crucial part in the execution of all merchandising functions, including managing sales, seasonal buying, inventory, product delivery and product training. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities and proposing appropriate actions to take in the business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute seasonal buying strategies for RTW & Shoes.
- Support the ordering and system upload process during the buying campaign.
- Conduct regular assortment reviews and mapping by store per season.
- Input pre-orders via VIC system.
- Distribute stock daily based on seasonal collection mapping and manage sell-through by store.
- Rebalance stock and conduct weekly store-to-store transfers.
- Allocate markdown stock as needed.
- Monitor shipments via SCDM and share information with stores.
- Check stock levels and request replenishments when necessary.
- Manage ICT at the WW level.
- Visit stores monthly to identify sales trends and plan sales promotions each season.
- Work closely with VM teams on product launches and floor sets.
- Transfer stock according to VM guidelines.
- Distribute newsletters.
- Coordinate store openings, merchandising plans, and allocations.
- Plan seasonal events and pop-up merchandising allocations.
- Follow up on VIC pre-orders.
- Provide merchandising feedback and market requests.
- Conduct competitors' price surveys and analysis.
- Analyze sales recap and strategy to share with store teams.
- Update sell-through reports.
- Analyze monthly sales data for business updates.
- Focus on monthly MD (store) goals.
- Comment on weekly sales performance.
- Update delivery status for seasonal groups.
- Train teams on seasonal collections.
- Lead mix-and-match and in-store training on Men's RTW & Shoes.
- Maintain regular communication with HQ merchandising teams.
- Partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate store visits with corporate teams.
- Manage markdowns and prices.
- Fluent English skills.
- Experience in luxury brands.
- Fashion industry knowledge and an understanding of fashion trends and markets.
- Good understanding of RTW client bases and VIC requirements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with experience in developing and succession planning of buying teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to think logically and orderly.
- Proficient in using different interfaces (POS and ERP systems).
- Attentive to details, result-oriented, flexible, and positive thinking.
- A team player with a pleasant personality and the ability to work independently.
- Committed to meeting deadlines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fashion merchandising/buying roles with international fashion/luxury brands.
