As an Associate Creative Director, you will be pivotal in our APAC team, developing and executing plans for Dolby-enabled and Dolby-created content. Your work will resonate across passion points such as movies, sports, music, and gaming, and you will contribute to integrated marketing campaigns, primarily focusing on social and digital platforms.

What you’ll do 

Manage in-house and freelance designers, copywriters, and cross-functional leaders to bring industry-leading work across Dolby’s APAC region. Work with the content team as well as the local country marketing leads to come up with the APAC content strategy. This will require understanding of the local ecosystems and how Dolby can leverage content for the Global to Local story. Work closely with the upstream content ecosystem , content creators and service providers to help create the Dolby difference in content creation & distribution. Create compelling consumer stories and campaigns with a fresh, innovative approach to design and creativity. Lead, manage, and motivate Dolby’s design, content and production across APAC teams. Strong ability to conceptualize core creative, tell stories, oversee script, talent, edit, post-produce, etc. Collaborate directly with other creative directors (brand design, product design) and cross functional leaders across marketing and business to generate program and execute on program briefs. Create and edit creatives and copies on campaign materials Operate the campaign with crafted designs ensuring key messaging is consistent across all customer touchpoints. Scheduling & ensuring the timely deployment of all required communications for the campaign based on the plan developed Develop and execute a Global/Local marketing campaign & content mix for Dolby technology and partnerships Plan for the compelling campaign & content strategy for Dolby digital channels to make content visually appealing and impactful and maximize the campaign performance with a fresh, innovative approach to design and creativity Translating the Dolby brand into a consistent visual experience across Dolby-enabled products/services and content Adapt global creative strategies to meet regional needs while maintaining overall brand consistency. Manage agency relationships and develop effective work models, combining in-house and external resources. Put the spirit of the work and the team first, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, and embrace innovative, boundary-pushing approaches. Be a hands-on leader willing to be on-site in an editing suite, at a photo shoot, in Photoshop, and in the trenches with the team. Lead the creative vision and strategy for the region, ensuring alignment with global brand objectives. Drive the creative process from concept to execution, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow professionally. Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into the creative process where relevant.

Requirements and Skills

8+ years of experience in a similar creative role, with a strong portfolio in marketing, graphic design, video production, and brand development. Prior people management experience is a plus. Experience directing external vendors, including agencies and individual freelancers. Excellent working knowledge of design and content software Hands-on experience in planning and end-to-end campaign management with solid understanding of the Korean consumer behavior and digital landscape Understanding of audio/visual technologies, consumer electronics and creative industries with a capacity to drive projects that resonate with these industries is preferred Communicate and align with internal/external stakeholders to drive creative & market-relevant content and campaigns. Strong written and verbal communication skills in Korean/English Ability to convey complex concepts clearly, motivating and adapting communication styles to different audiences. Possess a fresh and future-forward eye for design, willing to take risks and experiment creatively. Self-starter who can take the seed of an idea and translate it into actionable creative strategy and projects. Strong interest in movies, TV, gaming, or music, with a capacity to drive projects that resonate with these industries. Excellent communication skills for presenting work and giving feedback. Strong attention to detail. Proven ability to lead and inspire a creative team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
