As Event Marketing Manager - Korea, you are responsible for driving the success of AWS among developers, startups/small businesses and enterprise customers in Korea. You will be responsible for defining and driving the marketing programs and events for Korea and will work with marketing managers in APJ, the US and in other geographies to deliver global marketing events.
The ideal candidate has a passion for technology, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a successful track record in field marketing or solution marketing. Candidate must be able to generate and present best-in-class marketing content and collateral, create targeted messaging/event strategy, and support and execute year-long planned marquee events.
Responsibilities:
- Create and drive awareness, adoption and usage of AWS platform through innovative and effective programs, including face-to-face events and tradeshows, lead generation programs and promotions.
- Lead overall implementation of marketing programs including lead generation activities, and plan, execute, and assist a series of marketing events targeting the full spectrum of customers such as developer events, startup events, user groups, joint events with key partners, and more.
- Support to plan and execute a marquee event with big scale and own a part of the event including managing sponsorship program.
- In close cooperation with key stakeholders, develop and execute customer-driven, audience-specific marketing strategies and programs that will increase customer demand, sales, and positively impact Amazon Web Services brand equity.
- Track key metrics and KPIs and insuring all established goals, objectives and deliverables are met.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
