This Business Development Specialist role is responsible for market development of interventional oncology business throughout assigned territories. Focus on product positioning, market penetration, training, market intelligence, and collaboration with sales team to capture and broaden market share in existing and potential markets and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and accounts by developing and leveraging relationships with key hospitals and physicians in the relevant specialties; Develop and execute business strategies and activities with the country sales team.

Clinical Excellence: Ensures clinical success through the education and training of physicians and hospital staff. Limited case support for key/new accounts required.

Building and Maintaining Relationships: build and maintain relationship with key opinion leaders in the region, seeking to leverage profitable business ventures; Assist key customers in creation, expansion and startup of related educational courses and forums.

Distributor Management: Work with and manage distributors to help achieve sales goal and collaborate on market development and marketing initiatives

Industry Knowledge: Maintains knowledge of industry trends and their impact on franchise short-term and long-term business plans to improve marketing and sales strategies; Collects market and competitor information to enable the formation of business strategy plan.

Franchise/Product Expertise: Advisor / expert of diseases and products; Maintains the skills and knowledge for the entire product line and be the go-to person for the entire franchise portfolio

Make regular contact/communication with regional/global marketing personnel and sales/country management to ensure alignment of plans.

Ensure alignment with other functions (Finance, Supply Chain, Health Economics, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality).

Ensure awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.

Participate in driving quality awareness in every employee, while guiding the local organization towards improved performance and customer-oriented initiatives.

Key Skills & Experiences:

Undergraduate Degree
At least 3 years of relevant experience from medical device industry
Candidate with prior experience in Interventional Radiology, Hepatology and Oncology and an understanding of the industry and procedures is preferred
Good track record in market/account development and sales execution.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
Ability to collaborate effectively
Ability to travel of up to 50% within Korea region.
