The Green Climate Fund is the world's largest dedicated multilateral climate fund. Our mission is to mobilize financial and technical support for developing countries to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
About the JobWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote the use of renewable energy in developing countries.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to promote the use of renewable energy in developing countries.
- Provide technical assistance to governments and other stakeholders to help them develop and implement policies and programs that support the use of renewable energy.
- Work with international partners and organizations to leverage funding and technical expertise to support the development and implementation of renewable energy projects.
- Analyze data and trends related to renewable energy and provide recommendations to the Fund on how to improve its efforts in this area.
- Masters degree in renewable energy, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 9 years of experience in renewable energy development and policy, including experience working in developing countries.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and policies.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
