">Job Description
">We are seeking a top-tier individual with a track record of harnessing experience, energy, and networks to tackle complex global climate change challenges. As a Climate Impact Project Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our investments lead to measurable results by ensuring the integrity of estimates and targets of GHG emission reductions.
">Your key responsibilities will include:
">- ">
- Providing scientific advice on funding proposals to ensure alignment with the latest knowledge on climate change">
- Leading the technical review and structuring of concept notes and funding proposals">
- Maintaining the project database and coordinating with relevant teams and stakeholders">
- Supporting the management of the project cycle">
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the review of proposals and post-approval process">
Required Skills and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- ">
- A Master's degree in Climate Science or a relevant Earth Science field">
- At least 9 years of relevant work experience, including 3-5 years in a regional or multilateral development bank or climate impact consultancy context">
- Strong M&E design and implementation skills, especially those related to GHG accounting">
- Proven track record in project management, including design, implementation, and monitoring">
- Experience in climate finance or developing climate finance projects in international/developing countries">
- Relevant experience in an international setting">
- Unquestionable integrity and adherence to the highest ethical standards">
- Excellent business writing and presentation skills">
- Ability to articulate complex issues verbally and in writing in a concise manner">
- Fluency in English and relevant language proficiency related to GCF regions">
- A team-player with a proactive, solution-oriented, and can-do attitude">
