Our mission is to support countries in their efforts to transition to a low-carbon economy and adapt to the impacts of climate change. We achieve this through a range of initiatives, including providing financing for climate-resilient infrastructure projects and supporting countries in developing and implementing their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Climate Impact Project Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our investments lead to measurable, monitorable, and credible results by ensuring the integrity of the estimates and targets of GHG emission reductions in all funded activities.
This role will involve working closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and delivery partners to provide technical guidance on climate change adaptation and resilience to support funding proposals throughout their life cycle. You will also be responsible for project origination, implementation, and portfolio management support across the region, including pipeline and portfolio analysis and optimization.
To succeed in this role, you will require a Master's degree in Climate Science or a related field, as well as at least 9 years of relevant work experience. Strong M&E design and implementation skills, especially those related to GHG accounting, are essential. Experience in project management, climate finance, and international development is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be fluent in English and have excellent business writing and presentation skills. A proactive, solution-oriented, and can-do attitude is also essential for this role.
