Climate Infrastructure Opportunities Specialist

The Green Climate Fund is seeking a highly skilled Climate Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing an active pipeline of transformative proposals to mobilize public investment in climate mitigation and adaptation, focusing on infrastructure projects.
With your expertise in climate finance, impact investing, and project management, you will work closely with our accredited entities, national designated authorities, and partner organizations to identify, design, and execute innovative public sector climate investments. Your strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information will enable you to effectively communicate with stakeholders and drive results-oriented solutions.

Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Developing an active pipeline of transformative proposals to mobilize public investment in climate mitigation and adaptation, focusing on infrastructure projects;
- Working closely with accredited entities, national designated authorities, and partner organizations to identify, design, and execute innovative public sector climate investments;
- Providing technical support and guidance to teams across the organization to ensure effective implementation of climate infrastructure projects;
- Identifying opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing among teams and with external partners;
- Contributing to the development of efficient processes and procedures for project review and approval.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, as well as at least 9 years of relevant work experience in climate finance, impact investing, and project management. Strong analytical and communication skills, combined with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities, are essential for success in this role.
