The Climate Infrastructure Specialist plays a critical role in our efforts to achieve this goal. Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development of innovative climate investment strategies and proposals that align with our organizational objectives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading complex projects, managing teams, and developing partnerships with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies for mobilizing climate finance and promoting sustainable infrastructure development
- Lead the development of proposals for funding agreements, concept notes, and readiness proposals, ensuring alignment with our organizational objectives and strategic priorities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for climate investment and develop innovative solutions to address emerging challenges
- Manage and oversee the implementation of climate investment projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including governments, private sector partners, and civil society organizations
Requirements:
- Masters-level degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, with additional studies in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing, sustainable finance, or climate finance
- At least 9 years of experience in climate finance, impact investment, and project management, with a proven track record of success in leading complex projects and teams
- Demonstrated expertise in climate finance, ESG investing, and sustainable development, with knowledge of international best practices and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with proficiency in French, Arabic, and/or Portuguese an asset
