About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Climate Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at the Green Climate Fund. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of transformative climate projects and programs that will make a significant impact on the global community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including governments, private sector companies, and civil society organizations, to identify and prioritize climate investment opportunities.
- Conduct thorough analysis of climate finance needs and market trends to inform strategic decisions and investments.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and monitor climate projects and programs, ensuring alignment with GCF's strategic objectives and goals.
- Identify and leverage innovative financing mechanisms and instruments to mobilize private sector funding for climate action.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain effective project pipelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality proposals and reports.
Requirements
- Masters degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, environmental science, or international development, or equivalent experience.
- At least 9 years of experience in climate finance, impact investing, or a related field, with a strong track record of delivering results in complex and dynamic environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural setting.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in Russian and/or Arabic is required.
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles of sustainable development and climate action, with a strong understanding of the evolving landscape in climate change and international development.
