Climate Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Governance Specialist to join our team at the Green Climate Fund. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support and advice on institutional matters, including governance framework, human resources, intellectual property, and procurement.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Associate General Counsel - Institutional in coordinating the work of the institutional team regarding administrative legal matters.
- Negotiate international agreements, including those relating to GCF's privileges and immunities, as well as all contractual arrangements with counterparties that do not involve project or grant activities.
- Creatively resolve complex issues which arise from time to time in the course of institutional governance.
- Keep abreast of developments in the legal field especially in relation to international administrative law.
- An advanced university degree in law is required, preferably in public international law.
- Qualification to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
- A minimum of 11 years of relevant work experience practicing public international law, including international administrative law and/or international civil servant law.
