Serves as journeyman operator in a water supply and treatment plant which uses filtration and other treatment processes such as chlorination and lime-soda softening to produce water suitable for domestic and industrial use, swimming pools and fire protection. Conducts periodic chemical control tests of chlorine residual near point of treatment; conducts PH measurements of raw, filtered and finished water. Inspects and checks plant equipment for proper functioning, determining required adjustment; checks pumps for overheating; makes minor adjustments to feed mechanisms and control valves, reporting mal-functions to the supervisor. Makes scheduled rounds assuring all plant equipment is in working order. Performs preventive and operational maintenance on plant equipment, reporting needs for repairs of greater scope. Prepares reports and maintains log books and records of all activities and tests. Performs other duties as assigned.
주업무: 가정용 및 산업용, 수영장 및 방화용으로 적합한 물을 생산하기 위하여, 염소처리 및 석회소다 연화와 같은 여과 및 기타 처리 과정을 사용하는 급수 및 처리장의 숙련 조작원으로 근무합니다. 잔여 염소가 처리 기준에 맞는 가를 주기적으로 화학 시험하고, 생수, 여과된 물 및 정수된 물의 PH를 측정합니다. 적당한 기능을 발휘하게 하고, 조정이 필요한 가를 결정하기 위하여, 처리장 장비를 검사하고 점검하며, 펌프가 과열되는 가를 점검하고, 공급 기계 및 조정 밸브에 대하여 간단한 조정을 실시하고, 고장난 부분을 감독자에게 보고합니다. 모든 처리장 장비가 제 기능을 발휘하고 있는가를 확인하기 위하여 정해진 시간마다 처리장 장비를 순회 점검합니다. 처리장 장비에 대한 예방 및 사용자 정비를 실시하고, 더 큰 범위의 수리가 필요할 때에는 보고합니다. 보고서를 작성하고, 일지를 유지하며, 모든 업무 사항과 시험 사항을 기록합니다. 기타 부여된 업무를 수행합니다.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Inside and outside work, exposure to continuous noise; and danger of poisonous chlorine in the event of a broken line, falls from elevated walls and high voltage and moving machinery. Subject to unpleasant odors and varied weather conditions for substantial amount of time; possible infection, from contract with wastewater, asphyxiation from sewer gases in closed areas. Injuries from falls into wet on dry wells.
작업 조건: 옥내나 옥외에서 작업하고, 계속적인 소음 속에서 일하며, 선이 찢어질 경우에 유독 염소로부터 위험이 있으며, 탑이나 높은 담으로부터 떨어질 위험이 있고, 고압선이나 움직이는 기계로부터 위험이 있습니다. 불쾌한 냄새와 여러 기후조건에서 작업해야 되며 폐수와의 접촉으로 인한 감염, 폐쇄된 공간에서 하수도 가스로 인한 질식 위험에 노출될 수 있으며 낙상의 위험이 있습니다.
