HauptaufgabenThe incumbent maintains the CAO system with current, accurate data to ensure optimal order quantities are calculated necessary to sustain customer demands. All CAO duties consist of direct data input. Maintains perpetual inventory balances on hand (BOH) by line items, on the shelves and back up product, which directly impacts the commissary accounts. Uses radio frequency hand-held terminals to gather data necessary to update and adjust inventory. Closes pull numbers for deliveries daily and on time. Performs a daily inventory audit of items not-in-stock and overwrite items. The inventory update is necessary to change the BOH to generate either another suggested CAO order or to preclude an order from occurring until the excess stock is depleted. Researches the basis for inventory problems, and investigates all inventory adjustments of one or more cases. Records BOH by use of data from exception reports, based on trend analysis, or using approved random selection process. The incumbent prints CAO reports for review by store management, and provides reports daily or on an as needed basis, on Not In Stock (NIS) levels and expected delivery. Processes requests for customer special orders; monitors paperwork and ensures product is ordered in a timely manner, keeps in contact with customer to advise on status and ensures product is ready for pickup. Ensures that special orders are separated from normal warehouse product to preclude product stocking by contractors or vendors. Performs file maintenance to ensure that special orders do not affect the BOH and replenishment of store stock. Communicates with contractors, vendors, store management, and store personnel of special order, confirming it is placed in designated area. Maintains a perpetual inventory and audit credits in the CAO system. Checks process and item descriptions and ensures that orders have the proper store/department information. Forecasts major events that significantly affect store traffic flow to include, but not limited to: inclement weather, local and national sporting events, local and national entertainment events, local military events and troop movements. Acts as the subject matter expert and advices the grocery manager on promotional forecasts, club pack, and one¬-time-buy items. The incumbent uses many different system generated reports as inventory control and merchandising tools, including, but not limited to, Zero or Negative BOH Reports, Flag Reports, Overwrite Reports, CAO Audit Reports, Order Adjustment Reports, Velocity Code Reports, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.
