?Provides timely professional responses regarding AZ (and other) products to healthcare professionals and internal customers utilising standard responses and documentation.
?Delivers medical information responses by telephone, written communication or AZ website, as appropriate
?Creates and maintains up to date standard responses in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements
?Within own area of responsibility, ensures that response to unsolicited questions/inquiries regarding off-label information is only communicated on behalf of the company by scientifically trained personnel. Any response must be based on objective scientific data presented in a balanced manner.
?Maintains up to date knowledge of AZ therapeutic areas and products plus competitor products
?Maintains up to date knowledge of library facilities, information retrieval systems and information technology
?Maintains up to date knowledge of medical literature to evaluate and utilise appropriately in Medical Information responses
?Maintains Medical Information database for own products
?Ensures timely reporting of suspected adverse events with AZ products (in conjunction with Patient Safety) in compliance with local regulatory requirements and global AZ Safety Reporting requirements
?Maintains up to date knowledge of copyright and data protection regulations and operates in compliance with these requirements
?Produces management reports to track volume and pattern of HCP requests, and performance against Medical Information KPIs
?Identifies and develops additional medical information services, as required
?Provides Medical Information support for company sponsored scientific booths at conferences and meetings
?Conducts therapeutic area and product training for medical sales representatives
