What We Offer

The Index Product Development Specialist will be responsible for developing new indexes that will be benchmarks for financial products such as exchange traded funds (ETFs). Your main responsibilities will be to:

Develop index rebalance and reconstitution models based on both internally and externally generated ideas Evaluate index models and ideas through backtesting and comparative analysis Create client-facing analysis based on the results of model development Support activities across the index product life cycle – pitching new index ideas to clients, launching and operationalizing new indexes, and creating research content to educate stakeholders on newly launched indexes

What You Will Do

Develop indexes for benchmarking and third-party product creation based upon multiple asset classes from both client driven requests and original concepts. Asset classes include equities, options, fixed income, and crypto. Prepare and present customized client presentations including index backtests and comparative index and product performance analyses Use a deep understanding of business/client needs and user experience to build/improve products Fully own an index from development to launch Possess thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and the trends in the business

What We Expect

Degree in an analytical, quantitative or STEM field 3+ years of work experience related to financial market, experience from index/ETF businesses is preferable Highly motivated with evidence of intellectual curiosity and creativity Genuine interest in financial market concepts (e.g. portfolio construction and management, indexing, ETFs, passive investing) Extremely effective communication and presentation skills Strong writing and analytical skills with sharp attention to detail Technical proficiency in SQL, R, Python, Databricks, Tableau, FactSet, and Bloomberg Well-organized and able to complete multiple projects at once Fluency in English and Korean Willingness to travel for business
