Job Overview
We're seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for communicating our work through key messaging, media outreach, and content development. You'll play a crucial part in shaping our public profile and advancing our external relations strategy.
You'll contribute to the development of media strategies, build relationships with key media outlets, and produce engaging content that raises awareness about our mission and achievements. Your writing, editing, and communication skills will be essential in conveying our message effectively to various audiences.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive media strategy to promote GCF's image and achievements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and disseminate content
- Build and maintain relationships with key media partners and stakeholders
- Produce high-quality content, including articles, op-eds, and social media posts, to showcase GCF's impact
Your Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Advanced university degree in communications, journalism, or a related field
- At least 9 years of experience in international communications, with a proven track record in media management and stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with key partners
- Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills in English
- Knowledge of digital influence areas and social media platforms
