Sales Engineer - Korea

We are growing fast and to enlarge our APAC Pre-Sales/Systems Engineering (SE) team we are looking for new team members. If you are looking to join a fast growing and inspiring company and have sufficient experience in the digital video industry (IPTV, OTT, Post-Production workflow, transcoding and video quality test & measurement etc.) we will give you the opportunity to work in the exciting video business. In your role you will assist the account managers in all (technical) aspects of the business.

Our Sales Engineers work closely together with our Regional Sales Managers and channel partners to assist in identifying, qualifying and developing existing and new customers and strategic opportunities. In this role, you will evaluate customer digital video and audio requirements, understand current server and network infrastructure and propose products after executing compelling technical demonstrations. The ideal candidate has a track record of successfully specifying system architectures, delivering solution demonstrations.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the pre and post technical sales process at target accounts.
  • Work closely with customers on the technical requirements to provide technical solutions - Identified requirements, including technical details sufficient for a product proposal.
  • Technical ownership of the assigned end user accounts including solution positioning, network/eco system proposals, presentations, installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of Telestream products.
  • Work with the sales team to develop a selling strategy within the target accounts. Create and deliver effective presentations and sales tools for the sales team.
  • Responsible for technical relationship with partners and resellers. Support them in end customer activities, manage and execute training programs and seminars, provide back office support.
  • Assist resellers or do direct onsite commissioning and training on new or upgrade systems
  • Execute trials, product installations and upgrades.
  • Provide first and second level technical support reported by end user customers and or partners as needed and requested by Services or other Sales personnel.
  • Build and maintain a technical relationship with the customer as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.
  • Keep yourself constantly updated on new product releases, features, key selling points, etc.



Required Qualification, Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

  • Undergraduate degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics or related discipline is ideal
  • 5+ years of experience in the design and implementation of production, broadcast, or OTT systems
  • Experience working (with one or more of the following) with MVPD/vMVPD, OTT distribution, Cloud architecture, broadcast industry, either working at broadcasters or selling to broadcasters
  • Knowledge of Media Processing and Workflow Automation, Transcode IPTV VOD, Live Capture, Post Production, Cloud VOD Processing, Adaptive Streaming Protocols (HLS, DASH, MSSS).
  • Familiar with Cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of Media Asset Management (MAM) systems.
  • Experience with typical broadcast workflow, Video quality check and system integration experience
  • Experience with REST API and JSON
  • Ability to trouble-shoot IP network, audio and video problems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technology, product, and application expertise to account sales team, prospects, and customers
  • Ability to assess a customer's technical needs and match it to Telestream products.
  • Previous technical experience including knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and IP networking technology
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem solving skills

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel to customer locations up to 60% of time.
  • Ability to be autonomous, comfortable and responsible working remotely and from home
