Serves as Member Services Representative performing a wide variety of administrative work and limited technical work involved in advertisement, promotions, special events and commercial advertisement. This includes the planning, conducting, developing and advising on improving the effectiveness of the overall customer service operation and marketing plans. Prioritizes guidance given by the Member Services (MS) Supervisor in Stars and Stripes Pacific Headquarter (SSP-HQ). Trains and staff supervision of Korean National employees engaged in the operation of the Korea Area Office. Perform customer services and marketing functional services to include determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, and enhance participation and community awareness of key Member Services programs. Conduct various types of market research (i.e., survey development, data collection, focus groups, customer feedback, etc.) and analysis. Keep track of annual events and fulfill substantial community relations responsibilities to support SSP-HQ-MS supervisor and the Stars and Stripes overall mission. Compiles and prepares mandatory reports reflecting current demographics to meet patron needs based on the results from various types of surveys. Assists the SSP-MS Supervisor in establishing and developing effective marketing plans consisting of comprehensive publicity, promotions, and campaigns for the Korea market. Makes recommendations to senior MS leaders based on data collected that will improve both program and financial performance of the Stars and Stripes Member Service programs. Will track in-kind sponsorship contributions and maintain records for community programs and events. Evaluates previous successes and failures and submit recommendations to the SSP-HQ-MS supervisors. The incumbent must possess confident and trustworthy negotiation skills and be able to make formal written and verbal presentations to individuals and groups of all echelons. Coordinates with garrison command when necessary for internal and external community relations to build stronger relationship between SSP and the Military Community. Maintains a good relationship and work closely with other organizations, such as the American Forces Network (AFN), Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR), Force Support Squadron (FSS), etc. Provides formal and informal orientations and training of KN employees to familiarize workers with the technical aspects of stars and stripes operations.
