Key duties and responsibilities
Building on going product pipeline with extensive research and trend monitoring together with client interaction to find the market needs.
- Develop new benefits that are not in the market and perform risk rate development for the core of the benefits.
- Respond to clients' requests to develop new risk rates and support the development of those risk rates in a timely manner.
- Analyzing Data or Information - Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
- Thinking Creatively - Developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
- Determine or help determine company policy, and explain complex technical matters to company executives, government officials ( FSS and KIDI(Risk rate validation) process )
- Collaborate with programmers, underwriters, accounts, claims experts, and senior management to help companies develop plans for new lines of business or improvements to existing business.
- Provide Consultation and Advice to Others - Providing guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-, or process-related topics.
- Ensuring high technical standards of statistical based logic development.
Coordinating the Work and Activities of Others - Getting members of a group to work together to accomplish tasks
- Scheduling Work and Activities - Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
- Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others - Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with other
- Estimating the Quantifiable Characteristics of Products, Events, or Information - Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity
- Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Product development and developing relevant risk rate
- Study and discussion new product idea
- Developing risk rate for new products
- Development support for clients' requests to develop new risk rates
- Participate in or lead project assignments on client product development
- Supporting risk rate revision and also client technical document together with Q&A.
- Manage and accumulate the statistics needed to develop new risk rates. Organize layouts to be utilized in the development of other risk rates.
- Supporting the marketing and business development in building and maintaining effective relationships with clients.
- Provision of other actuarial service to the client

- May perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Experience:
- Qualified Actuary
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
Personal Competences:
Essential:
- Moderate verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in one or more life actuarial pricing systems (e.g., AXIS, TAS, Prophet)
Desirable:
- Solid analytical skills with strong problem-solving ability.
- Reasonable future risk projections for new benefit.
- Must be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
