We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic individual to take on the role of Head of Global Markets, Korea. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of FX Sales and Trading with a strong understanding of Global Markets products, and the ability to lead a team towards achieving strategic business goals.

What you will be responsible for

As Head of Global Markets - Korea, Managing Director, you will:

Business Management and Strategy::

Overall management of the Global Markets business in Korea: Oversee the strategic direction and management of the FX Sales and Trading operations, ensuring alignment with the company's broader business objectives.

Work closely with management on Global/Regional/Local Strategy and drive implementation in the region.

Ensure the execution of Indirect FX and StreetFX businesses as per the Investment Manager Guide, StreetFX agreements and all policies and procedures

Monitor all required documentations and credit limits are in place before starting FX business with new and existing clients and inter-bank counterparties on an ongoing basis to ensure accuracy and adherence to all local and global policies and guidelines.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, both locally and internationally, ensuring their needs are met through tailored FX products and services..

Regulatory and Risk Management:

Keep abreast of applicable local and global regulatory environment impacting various businesses and State Street internal policy and guidelines to ensure SSGM Sales and Trading in Korea operates within the regulatory framework in efforts to achieve risk

Provide regulatory oversight related to SSGM for Seoul Branch's businesses.

Manage trading risks in Korea, optimizing our operating model and coordinating our global/regional initiatives from a GM perspective to drive more strategic client engagement.

Leadership and Team Development:

Ensure staff development through performance management and training process when required.

Providing strong leadership as a member of the executive team across multiple disciplines and with senior management in other business areas/locations and with vendors.

Create a climate that motivates and supports people to achieve higher performance and that develops their capabilities for the future.

Emphasis staff engagement given scale of people management responsibility combined with experience levels of those staff.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

Collaborate with senior management to set strategic objectives for the FX business, aligning with the firm's broader goals. Develop and implement strategies to optimize profitability and market share, focusing on sustainable growth.

Development, execution and monitoring of overall business strategy.

Ensure appropriate risk and compliance frameworks are supported throughout areas of responsibility.

Organizes processes, manage people and resources in a way that improve efficiency and effectiveness of areas of responsibility
