Sales Manager, Auto

Huntsman’s Polyurethanes division is now looking for a Sales Manager within PU Automotive Platform.

The position has dual responsibilities with the jobholder having both commercial in Huntsman & marketing responsibility in the joint venture, KPX Huntsman Polyurethane Automotive, also need to represent Huntsman, Korea to support local business. The job holder also acts as global transplant manager of Hyundai automotive and coordinate with global transplant contacts outside of Korea.

As Sales Manager , your responsibilities are:

Execute the role with full regard of Huntsman’s EH&S, Product Stewardship and Compliance policies Perform sales to customers to achieve annual volume, Val and CM targets To formulate and implement account management strategies to achieve customer intimacy at key accounts in order to deliver customer satisfaction Proactively support and service the joint venture, KPX Huntsman Polyurethan Automotive/Flexible Korea, both based in Korea and with transplant operation across the world The job holder will support GAC activity for Korea automotive development including KR car OEM transplants The jobholder will articulate generic development needs and ensure that those which are financially and technically justifiable are included in the platform development programs. For selected pieces of technology he/she will prepare a Korea market introduction plan, select and appropriate pilot customer. In both cases he/she will assist during the technical presentations/trials and will follow up accordingly The jobholder will ensure ongoing profitability of existing and newly acquired accounts in Korea within the overall business strategy of value based price setting and full understanding of raw material, production and distribution costs The jobholder will ensure appropriate market intelligence in the relevant markets and report on these from time to time The job holder will communicate with regional marketing team to deliver market trend and global automotive market movement The jobholder will assist relevant function in the business to establish appropriate distribution and supply chain routes incl. where relevant and advisable appropriate channels to market Report weekly/monthly sales activities The jobholder will need to work very closely with the Commercial Manager, KR to manage business growth profitably and develop long term strategy in Korea. The jobholder must develop networking skills and build relationships with parties in related market to ensure the highest level of market intelligence.

Knowledge / Experience / Skills Needed

The jobholder must have good knowledge of the technology requirements of the SMU sectors in Korea, in particular the jobholder is required to have excellent automotive knowledge in order to support the KPX Huntsman Polyurethan Automotive. It is expected that level of knowledge will require more than 5 years’ experience in the PU business. Bachelor of Science in chemical related major An ability to communicate clearly across a variety of environments: management, technical, sales, production, are required. Therefore good interpersonal skill are essential. The different demands of the position (commercial & technical, regional) require that the jobholder is both flexible in approach and has the ability to priorities divergent demands. Good command of both oral and written in English is required
